Fairford

Sean Davey and Anna Lewis were your Lib Dem candidates for the Cotswold District Council elections on May 5th, 2011. Their combined vote share meant 37% of votes cast  were for the Liberal Democrats in Fairford.

Fairford sits on the south east edge of the Cotswolds. It has a population of about 3,500 and although small it has a vibrant town centre with many local facilities.The town has a great community spirit as witnessed by the abundance of clubs,and hosts many community events like the annual Town Council Festive Market and Fairford Festival.

Quenington & Hatherop are small village just outside of Fairford,and are part of the same District Council seat.

Fairford lays on the beautiful River Coln and is surrounded by classic Cotswolds scenery. Politically it is part of Cotswold District Council,based in Cirencester,and Gloucestershire County Council. The town of Fairford is represented by its own,largely independent town council,whilst Quenington and Hatherop have Parish councils.
